Michelle N. Sinkovits

Michelle has primarily focused in the area of Family Law and has litigated and settled a number of cases.  Michelle has successfully tackled numerous issues, including, but not limited to: contested child custody, orders of protection, spousal support, dissipation, child support, property division, allocation of attorneys’ and removal of children from the State of Illinois.  Prior to forming her law firm with Stephanie, Michelle obtained extensive family law experience by working for another family law firm

Michelle always approaches her clients with compassion and the ability to effectively create strategies custom-tailored to each individual client’s unique cases.  While Michelle believes in settlement, she is ready and able to litigate any and all issues that come her way.

While in law school, Michelle volunteered at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, aiding and representing victims of domestic violence.  Michelle uses her background and experience to continue to represent clients in domestic violence actions, and has successfully prosecuted and defended civil orders of protection.  In addition to Michelle’s volunteer work at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, Michelle interned for a Federal Judge in the District Court of Northern Illinois, which gives her a distinct advantage in the courtroom.
